1. Whoever writes installs daktilo on their phone — no account, no sign-up. They write the letter and pick the opening day: your anniversary.
2. The letter is encrypted on the phone and printed as an origami envelope. All the envelopes go into a box, a glass jar — however you like.
3. On the anniversary you open the envelope and scan the QR; the letter opens that day — and only that day. We never see the letter at any step.
In a card box, curiosity guards the letter; here mathematics does. Part of the opening key cannot be derived before the chosen date — opening early is impossible for anyone, including us.
The letter is encrypted on the device; it is never sent to any server. If the company shut down tomorrow, your letters would still open on the chosen day.
No accounts, no sign-up, no tracking. We never ask your guests for an email — we don't know who wrote, or to whom.
The envelope is a physical thing: folded, boxed, on the table for years. It lives next to your wedding keepsakes, not in some digital account.
